Amira’s world shattered when her husband passed away in a terminal illness, leaving her and their 10-year-old son, Ali, alone and vulnerable. But fate had another cruel twist in store. A devastating fire ravaged their small home, leaving Ali with severe burns on his whole body. Amira cared her burnt son for another 14 years he is now 24, this realty crushed her, No income, no home, and no support. They were forced to live on the streets, relying on the mercy of others. She toiled day and night to meet the daily expenses and medical expenses for the son. Living in an unhygienic place was indeed alarming for the family especially for the 24yr old burnt Son. Earning hand to mouth didn’t allow the family to have a good life.

That’s when Orphans in Need (OIN) stepped in. Assessed the family’s situation and immediately come into action. OIN provided Amira with financial assistance for Ali’s medical treatment and provide them a fully furnished home. As they walked into their new house, they were overjoyed to see the house they would have only dream for it. We are undergone a remarkable change now,” says Amira with pride. “We once dared to dream of a house, and now that dream is a reality. My focus has shifted from only survival and well-being of my son.”
