Ismat herself is battling with various health issues, found herself shouldering the responsibility of caring for their children alone. With a meager income of Rs. 2000 from their daughter’s job as a sweeper at a private institute, they faced immense challenges. Their living conditions were worst, residing in a tin shed lacking all basic needs which was vulnerable and not suitable to live in especially during the harsh winters. The extreme low temperatures would often leave the children in a distressed state, and the family would spend sleepless nights weeping together. The tragedy of her husband’s passing had left a gaping void in their lives, and the lack of support from their loved ones made their circumstances even more crucial.
